- Australian team has won the close encounter against India. They badly needed this win as nothing was going in their favor in recent time.
- GJ Maxwell was in top gear in first match and he was well supported by Chris Lynn and Marcus Stoinis in batting department.
- Aaron Finch and D Arcy Short will open the inning for Australia. Finch will be key for Australia whereas D Arcy Short can also bowl some overs for them.D A Short's form is cause of concern for the team as he is failing in almost all the matches.

- Krunal Pandya had off day in previous match as he was unable to perform with both bat as well ball, India will want to give him extended run in international circuit.However his place will be risky.
- Kuldeep Yadav will lead the spin attack of the team.He will be supported by one of Krunal and Chahal.Kuldeep is currently in good form,he took 2 wickets in last match.
- Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Jaspreet Bumrah will lead the pace attack..Both are bowling well .Bhuvaneshwar is very good bowler of this format while Bumrah is India's best pace bowler and is world no. bowler in ICC ranking in ODI's.
- Most probably India will go with 3 pace bowlers so Khaleel is expected to get another chance.
